Under Layout Storage

The lower deck of the layout is 34 inches above the floor. This allows a footprint of 120 square feet of storage space under the layout.

Planned storage includes three interchange drawer units, a tool caddy, two roller cabinets for camping gear, 5 bookcases, three storage cabinets and ten two-drawer filing cabinets. All will be painted black to minimize normal viewing.

Those storage cabinets located under the layout in Zones 2 and 4 were assembled, painted and installed under the layout.

With storage cabinets in place the basement is quickly becoming uncluttered and easier to work in.
