The WWSL
Like other railroad modelers, I have interests other than the WWSL and its interchange partners. I have decided to acquire, kitbatch or scratchbuild these model and put them in a static display (as a mimimum) or photograph them vignette style on the WWSL. The selection of locomotives include a wide range of regional steam, diesel and electric locomotives:
- Schafer Brothers Logging Company, the Clemons Logging Company, and the Saginaw Timber Company steam locomotives.
- Northeast Region (NYC, PRR and NYNH passenger electrics)
- Midwest Region (Cleveland Union Terminal and South Shore)
- Southern Region (Norfolk and Western and Virginian)
- Northwest Region (Great Northern and Milwaukee Road)
I also have an interest in Bicentenial paint jobs.
I had the opportunity to work as a volunteer at the North Carolina Transportation Museum and got to be involved in the restoration work of several of the Spencer Shops locomotives.
I also got to do some real railroading for the Atlantic and Western Railroad at Sanford NC.
Each of these locomotives will have its own page covering prototype information, engineering items of interest, and modeling information as it becomes available.
