Prototype Information.
A clearance card lists the orders that a train crew must have in their possesion prior to leaving their originating station. Any descrepancies between the clearance card and the order forms received must be resolved before a crew may proceed onto the main line.

The WWSL
The WWSL requires a clearance authorizes a train to leave a station. When the Conductor/Engineman has completed their preparations for movement they contact the Dispatcher for authorization. The dispatcher will give them clearance by filling in the form.
