The WWSL
The Station Agent will identify the need for the MOW outfit train. The agent will coordinate the MOW movement with the Dispatcher.
The WWSL will use an Work Extra train to move the outfit train to a siding near the job.
The WWSL MOW Department in the 1930's maintained an outfit train consisting of a forman's car, two bunk cars, a kitchen car, a dining car and a water tank car. The outfit train providing riding, eating and sleeping functions for the work gangs
In the 1950's, the WWSL retired the outfit cars and upgraded the outfit train by purchased a used dining car and RPO and modifying it for boarding..
